Contact Lenses

Kilgour Optometrists have been at the forefront of contact lens fitting and development for the past 40 years. Continual improvements in contact lens design and materials have delivered contact lenses to suit almost every prescription and lifestyle.

Our practice regularly receives referrals from the Hospital Eye Department for specialist services. In view of the experience we have accumulated we are also often approached by patients who have problems with contact lens wear or who have been told that they "cannot wear contact lenses" and are seeking a second opinion.

All of our optometrists have the experience and current knowledge to fit all types of contact lenses.

The range of contact lens materials is now extensive but essentially, they can be divided into soft lenses or gas permeable lenses.
