Gas Permeable Lenses

Gas permeable lenses are the modern equivalent of hard lenses. They have provided excellent visual correction for a great number of patients over many years.
They take a little longer to get used to compared to soft lenses but they are easy to handle and care for. The average lifespan of a modern gas permeable lens is approximately 2 years.

This group of lenses are particularly suitable for patients with very high prescriptions - especially high levels of astigmatism.
